Looking for the best food in Rockport. Been once before and never really found anything to write home about. Hopefully this time it is better. Any suggestions?

Just got back yesterday. We ate at Hammerheads in Fulton. We liked it a lot. Get there early if you can, parking is a problem.

Lots of good places Moon Dogs has great fish tacos Alice Fays is all around good Latitude's is a nice place, pricer than the others but a more formal dinner I like Crab N, good fried shrimp, and their cook your catch is really good. Panjo's is great for pizza the mexican resturant next to Tackle Town is pretty good Rosita's on Market street is awesome breakfast tacos Hampton's Landing in Aransas Pass is killer for a burger

Alice Fayes has new owners/managment. We were there three weeks ago and it was not good. Menu has been cut back along with portion size. We used to eat there at least twice on our RockPort visits, not no more. The Big Fisherman is a good places for a Family meal. Thier Oyster Rockafeller (sp) is awesome.

i'm so glad no one has mentioned Charlotte Plumbers yet, that place sucks. breakfast - mexican place next to tackle town lunch - Hammerheads dinner - Crab N or Latitudes Boiling Pot doesn't give you very much, my dad and i ate there a while back, had a bucket of beer, a couple buckets of food and some extra crawfish and it was around 120$, not worth it at all. I honestly just crave panjos pepperoni and jalapeno pizza everytime we go down there and Los Comales spinach enchiladas. I'd be fine with those two things and a few cold beers most everything else is a tourist trap.

I wouldn't eat at the big fisherman... Last time we went, it smelled like cats. There was cat hair everywhere.
I'm around the ingleside area, but we make our rounds to The Butter Churn- in aransas pass, It is a buffet, but they have enough turnover where all the food is hot. (thursday for lunch is friend chicken day and friday is fried catfish) both are good especially if you can get it hot out of the frier, Also, DON'T leave without trying their cobbler!!!!
Pepitos - on old 35, is a pretty decent mexican food restaurant.
Hampton's Landing- is a fun place to eat a burger and grab a drink.
Mac's BBQ - is an above average offering, their brisket is good, but I love their ribs.
There is also this bakery-taqueria that is on old 35, north of Aransas. White with red/pink trim. That is my favorite taco stand, can't remember the name of it at the moment.
umm on a side note, stay out of the bars on old 35 between rockport and aransas. Lots of them are Bandito's bars. And you can get in trouble real quick

Pepito's is closed.
Moved it to Portland. It's worth the drive.
Panjo's is still the best pizza - great drivers on take outs are on time and their shrimp Pizza is outstanding !

BTW, drove by Pepitos in Aransas, it is still surrounded with cars.
And friggen Hampton's landing has some sesame tuna on special right now. That they sear, and serve as a steak, but with sushi fixing, it was amazing. And only 13 bucks.
