Grandma was watching the kids so the Wife and I decided to head out to Hubbard this evening to play with the new iPilot. Winds were brutal so we mainly just stuck to the SE Banks looking for Sandies in a few of my normal spots. iPilot worked GREAT in the wind but no fish so I decided to scope out the rest of the bank in the area. At about 7pm we found them schooling in what might be called a cove on the east side and caught them steady for almost half an hour with one little Hybrid mixed in as well. Nothing like the other night but fun none the less. Noticed something weird...on the outside of the Sandie school there were 2-4ft Gar snatching shad off the surface. I didnt know they schooled with Sand Bass!?! Had a little luck spooning in 17 feet of water but it was slow. Wind just seemed to be blowing waves of fish buy and we would catch a few here an there. Packed it in before dark...not the best night on the lake but no half bad either. I know you boys love pics of girls holding fish so heres a few from tonight! cheers

Yeah shes a success, I've even got her net trained, she can scoop out a hybrid like a pro, now if I can just teach her how to back the trailer up I'll be in business!

rolfmao A funny side story is that she use to wear a little pink and white bass pro hat until one day while fishing the buoy we got a call that fish were stacked up on the gravel pit so we are running that way when she looked up and her hat blows off. So she's screamin about her hat but im not about to circle around when theres fish biting, so then shes starts yelling at me cause i wont go back, and I just said, in my real condescending way, "if you had been holding on too it you wouldnt have lost it!"
She just wrinkled up her nose at me and said in that very snotty way that only a women who knows you better than you know yourself can..."Your boat only goes 35 I didnt think I needed to". splat Thank God my son was in the boat otherwise I might have than thrown her over board!! Its amazing how they know just what to say to get under your skin! So in defense of my wounded pride I have refused to buy her a new hat...hence the "wind blown hair"

LOL That is a pretty funny story. Tell her to get a stampede string on it LOL As for the 35 mph hey That is fast enough . I only hit 71 just because I wanted to see how fast I could get it . I got scared and shut it down and have never been that fast again. So I usually go 40 to 45 and that gets me around just fine.
Thanks for the funny side story. cheers
