Good pair of running shoes in the summer and non marking, non steel toe boot in the winter.

They better be well-made. 60-70 bucks for a flip flop?

I had some columbia flip flops that I lost, they were $20 and very comfortable.

Crocs, without a doubt. They are nearly indestructable. Some models offer orthotic insoles (which are highly recommended for plantar problems) and they are very comfortable all day long, PLUS if they get wet launching or loading...no worries.

I'm not old. My bobbers just float a little lower than they used to.
