What is everyone's opinion on a comfortable shoe for fishing. The tennis shoes i use now are brutal on the feet after standing up for all day in a tournament.

A VERY good pair of running/training shoes will do the trick. Don't be cheap, its worth every penny!

The only tennis shoe I use is New Balance. They usually feel great and last a while, but without the padded deck it starts to get uncomfortable standing up there all day.

I went and had a thermal scan done on my feet after I couldn't make it through a day of fishing without pain killers.. I found out I had plantar fasciitis. Doing the stretches, losing a little weight and switching to a nuetral sole shoe did the trick.. I took the scan to Run On in Dallas and they fitted me with the right shoes for my feet. Well worth it.. I found some Twisted X work boots with the suggestion of a fellow TFF'er as well. cheers

A good pair of running shoes like New Balance or Saucony.

"Eyes quit ah usin shoes when my feets grew them thar webs betwinxt mine toes.........grand granny sazs its from bein 'n the water all the time... farmer

Actually I use water shoes and use a gel insert inside em for cushion. Seems for some reason or another I get my feety wet about 1out of every 3 trips I make. And as such, I really hate getting my sport/running shoes wet like my Vans, OPs and such ect....
Using the water shoes I get feather light comfort from the inserts and water friendly wear for about $10-$20 easily. thumb

I absolutely love asics brand tennis shoes. i'm a baker, so im on my feet between 8-12 hours a day, depending on how busy we are, i wear them ever day, and have not bought a different brand of shoe in almost 3 years. absolutely the most comfortable shoes i have ever had.
