Thinking of getting a power pole. What do they cost? How deep will they hold you? Anywhere around Ft. Worth you can get them installed? Are they worth the cost? Any info appreciated.

Aprox 1200-1800 depending on model. The longest available option will hold you in 8' of water. Several places install (cabelas fun n sun etc...) just google power pole and they will have a list of dealers. I think they are worth it. I use mine every time I'm on the lake. They also come in really handy when loading or unloading.

If you have the money and a boat big enough to support a second pole, get two. One is nice, but when you put it down, it becomes a swivel point in current or on windy days. I joke and say its a $1500 anchor that makes it easier for me to dig my bait out of hangups. I love mine, and i definitely recommend that you get the remotes if you get one. Just make sure you put a float on the remotes.

As for installation, as long as you have what you need, you can easily install it at home.

Brannans Bass Shop has the best pricing I've seen around when you get ready to order one. That's where I got mine. Give Kathy a call www.brannansbass.com

They're really nice when you need to change baits and the wind is blowing and you don't want to get blown into the rocks
