Everyone knows that Shimano is discontinuing the Green Curados right now as you can tell by all the sales. Saw this image today on another site. I love it, the white and black look awesome

Wonder how old this picture is. I haven't seen any place that someone would need to wear a sweat shirt, even in the mornings.

There is a post in the rods/reels forums on this and I speculated that that picture was of a Chronarch not a Curado due to the color...I guess I was wrong. I can't believe that they are making a white Curado, (I know they have been made in colors other than green but green just "feels right" for a Curado) I wonder what color the new Chronarch are going to be?

I know that color may not matter to some but the look of a reel does matter some to me. The flat black ones some manufacturers are making now look great!

A reel designed in Japan, built in Malaysia, sold to me by a Canadian? Not in my back yard!

I was told last month that it is the Chronarch that Dave is holding, not the Curado. I was told the Curado will still be green, but a little different green (in between the current green and the old green). I guess we will find out for sure next month.

He lives in Canada.

That explains it. Testing in secret, sort of.

The Curado/Citica will be based on the same frame as the current Caenon is. They will be a slightly lower retail and the Chronarch will be $199

The rod is a cumulas...I have 6 of them. They are great rods and have lifetime warranty.

I wonder how much the new curados are going to be. I remember when the regular price was 120 for the older curados, Seems like they go up everytime they make a newer design.

My source tells me the new Curados are going to drop in price by about $30 bucks. Shimano wants to try to recapture some of the market they have lost.
