Has anyone been able to fish in the Packery Channel from the beach? Going in late June, and was wondering if it is accessible to fish.

My buddies have been killing the fish around the packery and you can even go out on the jetties and no one will mess with you. There is a sign that says keep out but you shouldnt have a problem. They have been catching #'s of trout and reds with a few tarpon and smacks mixed in. There has also been good numbers of snook caught out of the packery but the snook bite has slowed a bit as of recent.
