SLOW SLOW SLOW. Too many boats. Too windy in the bays. Too windy to get offshore. Stayed in the bays. Fished the Lighthouse, Trailor Island, Mud Island and Stingray Hole for 2 days. Saw one person catch a fish all weekend. Saw guides come in with 0. That was my last holiday weekend fishing trip to the coast.

Too windy and too strong of a current flow sums up our experience also. When we left yesterday, there was no wind. No live bait from Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon was available.

How did you like the folks who would pass you while fishing at wot and 10 feet away.

I was stopped 3 times by the same game warden!!!

We launched and got bait at Conn Brown each morning. But I noticed the marinas were out.

One morning at The Lighthouse there were boats anchored on the shore a 75yds apart as far as you could see. I saw plenty of guides yelling at other boats.

I went to the marina Sun & Mon for lunch to watch the guides come in to see if they caught anything - hoping it wasn't just us. Made me feel better to see them get skunked too.

We fished saturday ,sunday & monday around aransas channel with same results as everyone else. Then on Tuesday the wind laid & we got in around shamrock cove & put about 30 fish in the boat but only 1 keeper trout. Where are all the keeper fish?

The only thing I caught all weekend was a shark and that was from my trip on the La Pesca boat from Dolphin Docks. There were a total of 5 sharks, 3 Dolphins, 1 king and 1 big wahoo.

Ok...just got home....5th thru he 11th..

7th 15 trout and one red near Alans Bite down Saint Joes.....all on soft plastics. 8th 13 keeper trout only two were 17 inches, the others were 22 to 25 with one being 25 on croaker off Dagger(sp), then we sought out reds....got most of those near Hog Pens and hog island Hole on mullet and two on piggies....8 keepers in the box to 25 inches.....caught another 20 from 14 to 19 inches. Sun. slow day....fished Traylor, Dagger, Steadmans, Ransom, California Hole, East Flats and a few deep wells in Aransas Bay.....Only got a handfull of keeper trout..6 I think....and one keeper red...still caught lots of small reds.

never went to Jetty's....never waded the surf...planned on it though... Watched the weigh in for Deep Sea Round Up on Sat...had way too many beers.....
