Had one of my favorite guest on the boat yesterday . Now, I love all my guest but Leonard and his crew always have a great time fished from 6:20 am till 10:45 am. Fishing was great to say the least. I didnt find any schooling action but who needs too when they are stacked up on structure,,, we caught the most whites out of my boat this year.. we only kept big whites and the smaller ones that where bleeding. We had our 100 fish limit by 8:45 am and caught and released the rest of the morning. Lets just say we caught over 200 but less than 300 in the morning we fished . I noticed a couple of reports about top water action I havent seem to find that.. but I have been fishing structure let a brother in on the top water bite grin I have also notice the afternoons id the time to catch hybrids, I havent found many in the morning times but my guest are happy.. Guys it was great once again .. and Leonard always a thrill to have you on the boat.. All fish caught on slabs from www.moestackleshop.com in 18-26 ft water. Winds where 10-15 S and water temps where 85.6 degrees.

Had TFF member Lennie and his son.. we have had to reschedule this trip 2 times before because of winds.. we should have done it today all I can say is not much to report winds got so bad that I could not fish any place that I have been catching fish I tried a lot of southern places with still high winds and fish would show up.. catch 2 or 3 and then poof.. gone I would have thought with the winds they would hang a little bit.. we did not catch their limit today, not even a full 1 person limit.. His son is from out of town so we tried the best we could we even talked about trying other day 3 times while on the water.. The life of a guide .. grin hero to zero within 24 hours thumb So folks.. no pics.. nothing to see.. keep moving..

I am sure that Lennie saw the effort and if he fishes he knows how it goes. You can't hit a home run every time at bat! Thanks for the report.

I saw you heading down south this morning. I had my dad in the boat for his first fishing attempt ever and what a bummer of a day! Packed it in early! We had to go no faster than 8 mph heading back and I still thought my aluminum bass tracker was going to crumple like a tin can....brutal day. However one good thing to report...I finally got a Terrova ipilot which will make staying on the fish in those more manageable 10-12 mph winds so much easier! smile

It is odd they haven't started schooling yet. It may be one of those great July and Augusts this year. Been a very windy June to say the least.

John I was also out there sat, and sun, the fishing was less than acceptable!
Did find a few in what felt like 40 mph winds.

Now Sunday I did find actual schooling fish on the south end that stayed up for about 15 minutes, then they were gone!!!

Out of both days probably saw a total of 30 to 40 sandies. Not stellar by any
Means.

Lots of places I could not get to. Glad ya got on em Friday!!
