I was in Fredericksburg this week and went by The Country Flyfisher,Marvin Pursch fly shop. For a small shop he has a very good slection of rod/reels, flies and fly tying material. I guess he has a good slection because I spent $60 for material.
I live on the costal bend and saltwater fly fish and don't know a thing about freshwater fly fishing. Ive have been wanting to fish the Hill country. Marvin gave me a hour of information.
If you are in Fredericksburg go by and see Marvin.
Also go by and eat at The Hill Top Cafe.
Thanks Marvin

Great guy indeed. Bought a hand full of flies from him before and walked out with a bunch of free experimental patterns of his.

Zack,
If the waters back in good shape you can hit the Perd- my favorite Hill country river. Boos Ln has good access for wading and there are other crossings.

No sweat. I think you just followed suit from the original post. Martin is a great guy. Small shop next to his house. Just a nice classy guy.

Cody and I were in Cabela's, Buda, Saturday, and the Pedernales is running .03 cfs according to their board. When we came in from Marble Falls headed to Sportsman's Finest, there was no water back to the nw and only a few pools of maybe 30 feet long and 3 feet wide to the se.
