 1993 115 johnson T/T help, top pin is stuck and my thumb is sore.

I need to replace my Tilt trim motor, I am able to get the 6 bolts out, but having a heck of a time getting the top pin off the main piston. My thumb is sore, and I am at my ends. Anyone have any advise as to how in the heck to remove this pin. I have beat on it for an hour and moved it .25 inches. What am I doing wrong?

I think that has a locating pin .. Have you removed that?

I removed the two small clips on the outside. I put some heat on it, and was able to get it to move a bit. But Now I think I have the pin mushroomed. I guess tomorrow I will break out the files.

Got it off and back on. Just needed some good ole lovin from a 3lb hammer.
