going to costa rico, anybody know about any of the best offshore guides.......any info wold be gretfully appreciated

it depends where you stay... i was at gulf papaguyo on the north pacific side and the resort had a complete list of guides in the area, just remember that you get what you pay for, and the roosterfish are the best in the world and costa rica hosts some of the best billfishing too.

If you end up in the central Pacific area at Quepos, I highly recommend the El Pescador or the Swordfish. Both boats are run by American captains and will put you on billfish. They do book up several months in advance, so it pays to make a reservation in advance. Both can be found doing a web search.
