My brother and I are heading up to the Conejos this Wednesday (6/29) until Saturday (7/2). It's been over 20 years since the last time I was up there. Neither of us really fly fish, mainly just spinners.
What campgrounds/areas would ya'll recommend for tent camping with the best fishing?

This will be my first time in 6 years I will not be going there (Platoro). We drive to the upper end of the lake (just before and after Adams Creek) for primitive camping. Fish the Conejos where it enters the lake and work upstream to the rock cliffs. If you just want to catch trout, get some Berkley Trout Power bait.
I don't know if the national forest is under fire restrictions or not. But there is always the restaurant at Skyline Lodge. Make sure you gas up at Antonio before heading up.
Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Forest is under stage 1 restrictions but we have a propane stove and a couple of lanterns and flashlights so we're good.
