Just got back from one of the greatest experiances of my life. Didn't get to fish much but still had a great time.
Story on my blog
http://sunfish-fly.blogspot.com
This is a rainbow/brown hybrid right?

Could just be an immature rainbow.

i thought troots had so many localized populations that hey just said "da heck with it" and called 'em all rainbows, sounds like a good time, I wish my son would have stayed in Scouts so I could go to Philmont smile

Rio Grande Cutthroat I believe

Colorado rocks, but you know that now.

It's more than the catfish would do.

I don't think a brown/bow hybrid exist. If its for sure not a cutthroat, its a rainbow.

Great report and pictures, thanks for sharing. I ended up choosing Sea Base over Philmont when I was in scouts, but still wish I could have done Philmont as well.

Young of the year rainbow, with parr marks. Great wild fish! Rainbows are trout, browns are char, and they don't interbreed.

Glad you had fun! Thanks for the pic.
