I have to go to Houston with my son. I want to take him fishing on a party boat on the gulf. Where is a good place to go and what boat? We picked a boat arbitrarily on the Florida Keys last year and were disappointed. Maybe you can help us out this time.

iwannablikeron, If going out of Galveston area, I have had nothing but great experiences aboard the "Capt. John" @ pier 19. Cost was around $85 for 12 hour trip. 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. We caught red snapper, kingfish, ling to name a few.

I have fished with Williams Party boats about 6 times, usually on the TexsunII( when it did all day trips, before the Capt. John). I have never been disappointed. We just got back from a 12 hour trip on the 9th on the "capt. John" and one of my dads buddies caught a 43lb wahoo.

WE also caught 3 limits of red snapper between the 4 of us. A couple lanes, some triggers and 2 kings. A very fun day
