I like to use a texas rig for fishing off the bank. I use zoom plastic worms. I like the motor oil, pumpkin and watermelon colors. Rigged like that it will never stick in the weeds. Also try some spinnerbaits, they seem to work pretty good also. Hope that helps.

I ALWAYS cast Parallel to the bank.

From reading your post, there doesnt seem to be much structure at all.

Ok. And yes, there is very little structure.

+1 Weedless baits like spinners and Texas rigged worms/lizards are really good.

An important thing to remember is to pay attention to any critters the bass might be eating. Keep an eye out for crawfish, frogs, bluegill, shad, grasshoppers, & even snakes. If you spot any of these, you can almost bet money that the bass will bite on the artificial versions of these. Bass bite best at dawn and dusk. Try standing down the bank aways from those weeds and cast around the edges of them. I hope this helps. Let us know how you do.

hmm sounds similar to a ponds i fish. i like to texas rig. my favorite worm is motor oil and sour grape. they both work well. also try a white or black spinner depending on the clarity of the water.
