I take the bag of leftover salt and put it in my salt shaker at home. Good idea. Very efficient. Lol

Lol, because it makes a mess. I just didn't see a point if they were already salt infused and it just washes off right when you put it in the water.
I fish deep, so I was thinking that by the time my jig hits 13 ft weed line, the salt THAT WAS ON THE OUTSIDE already washed off.
The money craw and Wooley Bug have salt on the outside, but the mighty bug doesn't have any salt on the outside? Weird.

Why does it come in a fancy bag with colors all over the outside? To catch fishermen. Probably same for the salt. So you know it's salt infused.
In space, nobody can hear you scream for ice cream.

I love the Yum baits but do not like the salt in the package. It only makes a mess. I wish they would skip the salt in the package and provide packages that have better zip locks. Yum bags are the worst at coming apart. I like salt in the bait, not on it. I always pick out a bag with the least amount of salt in it when I buy them.

it keeps the baits from sticking together, this is the main reason they are salted. The baits are injected with salt the salt on the outside is to keep the baits from sticking, it also breaks down the outside of the plastic so they can soak up scent easier.

Good read, To the OP if you don't mind spending $17.00 you can buy 50 2mil 7 X 4 laminated bags. Good zip plus they're clear so you can see how many you have, by being laminated you can also apply scent to the baits in the bag and the bag won't absorb it.

I guess I didn't even know that the bag absorbed the scent in the first place! Good info.
That is probably a good idea. I kinda make my own scent by combining a bunch of other ones together to see if I can find something that the fish like. Sounds pretty sad, but it's fun.
I just get really irritated by the salt on the plastics because they make a mess and they make the zip lock thing on the bag not work right. I like the sounds of salt being on my bait but man, it is just kind of a hassle.

I only use Red, Blue and Black on my bag's and yes my Hand Poured lures are Impregnated with Salt, I don't put Salt in the bag unless a customer wants it, in 9 yrs of pouring I belive I've only had 2 customers ask me to put salt into the bag. My lures are salty enough trust me I had a guy bite the end of one and spit for 15 min.
