The winds have calmed. Anybody else going to be out there today?

Either going to hit Ray Rob or Lewisville in the morning. Any input on which is better right now?

I come over the toll bridge every day around 3:30. Past two days there have been schoolies going on the north east side of the bridge.

If you go by the toll bridge and you can't find any sandies then go to the bridge and catch some nice crappie.

I went out after work and found a group of about 10-12 boats drifting just north of twin poles in about 18 feet of water. One boat was catching hybrids, the rest were getting some good exercise! I tried slabs, spinners, Sassy shad, no luck. I finally sat back, had a cold beer and watched the sunset. I wonder what lure they were using!

Terry, I was out there too, got 1 hybrid, lost one and a couple of sandies, I was using the fiesta slab. There were 2 guys catching with what looked like some form of sassy shad.

Go to Sand Branch, we saw several surfacing out there 2 days ago, we caught a few but were targeting LMB, we also saw a few catfish with the school of sandies (never seen that before)

No problem, here pretty soon those sandies should be making their way to the dam then off to the marina, like 2 years ago in July we put in at the marina and didnt even have to crank up the big motor we just put the trolling motor down and caught a mess load of sandies (they were surfacing for what it seemed like 2 hours)

This has been a tough year with a ll of the wind. Since the wind is going to be under 25 mph and it is not going to rain or hail, I'm probably going to try again tonight before the weekend crowd arrives.

Yeah they say wind is your friend but its been more of an enemy to me this year, although I will say that we fished 2 days ago from 4pm-9pm, and when the sandies started going crazy we saw the storms pushing up on us so that might have had something to do with it but just glad we decided to get off before those storms came through!
