I've been thinking about doing some catfishing but I'm not sure where to go. The only place I've tried is the park next to Mansfield Dam but have never had a bite. Any suggestions on where to go?

I've had good luck at a secret spot at pace bend park at lake travis with blue cats, including my pb of 28#'s.Granger and the colorado river are probably better places to go if you're only interested in fishing, but I like the camping at pace bend. I also have a spot at town lake that has big blues and flatheads, the only problem is that it's lacking in numbers.Going catfishing at granger this weekend if you want to join us.

Lots of good places to drown a perch or other bait in CenTex. Travis and Georgetown are also good places, on Travis try the north side of the lake parks, like Sandy Creek. Georgetown, well, try anywhere you can get access to the lake. Use fresh live perch or fresh cut.

Thanks for the tips. What times are the best time for you when you go out to your spots. Pace Bend Park??? A few folks Ive talked to said that the catfish there are non-existent. I've camped there last summer but wasnt successful. Any advace on bait and rig. Thanks Again.
