 Lowrance 520c GPS problems

I have Lowrance 520c and the GPS is hit or miss on whether it wants to work or not. Most of the time I have to turn the unit off and then back on while on plane before it will find position. Anybody got information on stuff to check? It has the external puck style GPS.

I just went and checked and WAAS? is not checked.

Try moving your gps ant. away from the unit about 2-3ft away and see if that solves your problem.
