I have been kicking around the idea of going on that trip. I generally like to fish from my home port but it seems our guys cant make up their mind. anyone ever done a dolphin docks 60 hr trip and care to comment on what to expect? fish caught? amenities? slow boat to china? fishing style? etc etc

Dolphin Docks 60 hour trip is a good fish catching trip. Captain and crew are very good, but it is a slow boat to china. It will take approx. 15 hours to get to Boomvang. They limit the number of people on the trip so it is not crowded.

I am not sure what ammenities are on the La Pesca as I have not fished the boat in a long time. When I went on the 60 hr. it was on the Dolphin.

Fishing style- topwaters, diamond jigs, live baits, and chunking are all methods used. Bait fisherman on one side, lure fisherman on the other. They will have several throw nets to catch any Flying Fish that get too close, as they are Tuna Candy.

I would recommend the trip. The past two trips have brought in limits of Yellowfin and 200+ Blackfins, plus wahoo and dorado.
