Yep that was on here a few days ago. I guess the old saying "if your not cheating, your not trying" doesn't always apply. Wonder if he got a ticket for over the limit?

You don't find a lot of guys with that kind of integrity anymore. Props to Skeet.

Skeete just moved up the respect meter in my book. That takes a stand up individual to do that.

With his entire season and the classic riding on one days weight he voluntarily took himself out of contention -

I wonder if any NFL or NBA players would admit cheating.

This doen's suprise me one bit! Skeet has always been a stand up guy and I DO NOT understand why people dis-like him. If he could just do something about all that yellow!

Don't feel too badly for him. I'm certain that he will be one of the four anglers voted into the post-season by the fans, and rightfully so. He was robbed of AOY under the past two season's format.

Ha! You know I know it sounds stupid... but the yellow and the hair was a big part of what made me leary of him....

Skeet didn't win last year because he didn't perform consistantly till the end. To say he was robbed by KVD is like saying the Patriots should be National Champions because they had an undefeated season no matter what happened on Super Bowl Sunday against the Giants....Soooo...your saying that all sports should get rid of the playoffs and whoever has the best regular season standings wins? That's pretty anti-climatic. Kinda hard to try to discredit KVD because he just went 2 for 2 for the second consecutive year ( winning the classic and AOY in the same year).

I never said he was robbed by KVD. I said he was robbed by the format. He had 6 top fives and two wins in 2010. At the end of the regular season, he was ahead in AOY points. He was in the lead until the last day of the last post season event.

Yes, he couldn't close but, under the old B.A.S.S. format, Skeet would have been AOY in 2009 and 2010. Why do you think B.A.S.S. discontinued the post season as the final deciding events for AOY? KVD even said he felt badly for Skeet.

Kevin's the greatest competitive bass angler, ever. No question about that. Just kind of sucks for Skeet that his two best regular seasons fell short of AOY under the revised format.

P.S. I do think Skeet is a great person for being honest for such a small mistake that cost him a lot of chances for serious cash and the chance to be in the Classic. Probably his most dissapointing season to-date.

You might want to go back and look over the season stats on Skeet. He had a better season than anyone in history. He performed well ALL season. The cheesy post season format screwed him. I read that even KVD said that skeet was AOY and that he(KVD) was the post season angler.

Now the patriots undefeated season would be like AOY in BASS! The superbowl is like the CLASSIC. Two totally different accomplishments! Your regular season is not the outcome of you championship performance.
