Well, I think they suffer from drainbamage. That snake would have been more use alive. They eat rats and mice. I guess the vermin are celebrating now. Many farmers will buy the snake to put in their barn as rodent control. Unlike cats, they will actually go down the hole after the rat.

Man, are you the biggest lumper! Snakes DO NOT KILL PEOPLE, only particular snakes do. Colubrid snakes are valuable. They are the ones like the rat snakes, bull snakes, racers etc. None of these are venomous and all eat what you would call vermin. The pit vipers and coral snakes are venomous, but all are very easy to identify. However, the people who insist on killing any and all snakes usually have an emotional reaction they can't seem to control. By the way, monkeys have the same reaction to a snakes.

Your taking a shot at me why? Did I say something to you? No. Did I say all snakes kill people? No. Did I say that snakes are hard to identify? No. Did I insist on killing any and all snakes? NO!

Learn how to read. Why are people so ignorant???

Ignorance. Snakes serve a very useful purpose. Even rattlebugs. I leave them alone and they leave me alone.

Let me guess... Neither of you live out in the country and neither of you have kids? Am I right? I have a 6 month old brother, 3 year old brother, 5 year old sister, and an 8 year old sister. All of which could die from a rattlesnake bite. All of them love playing outside. Rattlesnakes are territorial. Kill one or two on your land and they are gone. At least for a while. Also, most people would rather kill the snake than risk the chance of it being poisonous. That is why people kill snakes.

Lastly, I know tallgrass is a believer of evolution correct? Not sure about you Sac-A-Lait but... Isn't the whole concept of it survival of the fittest???

All of the above mentioned could die just as easily in a car accident. Are you trying to get rid of every car that you see on the road? I don't understand you're logic, so I can't debate this with you. I live in the country, I grew up in the country and I have 2 kids aged 7 & 12. We've had rattlesnakes in the yard on many occasions. We learned to co-exist just fine. Besides, they are not near as dangerous as the disease spreading mice and rats they help control.
