I have been using a bobber stopper on the Texas rig to pin the weight close to the head of the worm. I would like to find something better that can be added and removed easily....Just thinking about if anybody has anything simple they are using. I thought about maybe tying a rubber band knot right above the weight... Thanks.

Eagle Claw bobber stops 8-12lb item number 07090-005 (we order them often and I can remember that off the top of my head haha)...I only use the black ones and it works on 20lb test.
Up until then I used bullet weight t-pegs, buy the bulk pack of 100...I think they retailed 4.50 for an 18pack or 11.00 for 100.

I have also just taken a piece of skirt material and tied it in a knot above the weight.

How much of a difference does it make whether it is stopped or not, I don't use anything just let it slide, but a friend of mine just uses a toothpick to stop his from sliding.

I use the rubber pegging system that can be found at Academy. I think BPS has them also.

Rubber bands work good. Cut you a piece of fishing line, put both ends of line from bottom up, which will form a small loop at the bottom. Place piece of rubber band in loop then pull both ends from top up. Clip any excess from both ends and your ready to go.

+1 thats how I do it. then to later remove the rubber band I have some of the wire from buzzbaits attached to a piece of wood to push it through

Why have thost T-Pegs become all out of shape. I have tried 3 different ones. Some are so hard they want even pull up tight. The other two are a small diameter and want stop the weight very well even using 25# Floro. I can't find the old style T-pegs any more. If you know who has them let me know.

I've been pegging my T-rig with toothpicks since the early 70s. I've never had any problems that I am aware of. I still use toothpicks today, they're free. Pick up a couple on the way out of the restaurant. I keep a spinnerbait wire or paper clip to shove out the toothpick when I take it off so it can be used again.

quick and easy? a toothpick shoved in and broken off. its wood and it expands with water and is still soft enough not to damage the line. just doesnt move very good after you peg it.
