with the low water levels around i will be watching the hurricane paths this year. thats about the only chance ivie has of catching some signifigant rain. kinda feels weird to pull for hurricanes...

No hurricanes please. Been thru Rita and Ike, cost me thousands in lost timber, out of power almost a combined month. Hard times for my family. I'd rather see Ivie dry up. Ike killed over a hundred folks . Let's wish for something else.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

hard times out here too. people losing property due to fires weekly. luckily i havent heard of any deaths due to wildfire here. we dont need a katrina but were in a bad way out here these days... i know we have to deal with dry conditions just like people who live on the coast have to deal with hurricanes... one persons heartache can be anothers saving grace.. tropical storms and depressions will work for me tho... if ivie, spence and thomas are dry i dont know what would happen to midland/odessa.. if ivie dries up its more than just a great fishery dried up, it a water source for several 100 thousand of folks..

Were the dams in Mexico ever repaired that contributed to the Amistad flood back in 2009?

Ike killed over a hundred folks . Let's wish for something else. I'd rather you be out of electricity for a short time than hundreds of thousands be out of water for no telling how long. I've been hauling water to supply my house for over a year now because my wells are dry, I only wish it was A MONTH!!! I have had 1/4 inch of rain on my ranch since September.

Climate Change? Weirdest weather I have ever seen. Good luck... especially if you own livestock. It's the middle of June and looks like the middle of August.
And I know who "Jeff" is.
