I have Hotmaps Premium. I have 4.50 loaded on my 798. I went to Navionics website to download new stuff. I followed instructions and it said my card was "write protected" remove write protection and try again. I did so by unlocking the SD card. Download began. Has run all day with only 716 MB our of 968 MB.

I gave up in disgust and cancelled the download and pulled my card and locked it, again, so that it is write protected. Something is wrong with their site. I have DSL and it should have loaded quickly.

My question is: by cancelling the download in 3/4 session have I damaged or lost any of the original info. It is a 2011 Hot Maps Premium.

I haven't had time to try it on the boat.

Sometimes those downloads take a long time. I upgraded my Gramin Nuvii and it took 8 hours with cable internet.
