I would like to get better charts for my Humminbird 996c. I am looking at the Navionics Platinum Plus, but would like opinions and maybe alternatives.

BTW, the advertizing on how good the built in charts and reality are far apart. For example, Fence Lake in Port A isn't even identified. Nothing is marked between Paul's Mott and Allyn's Byte! For the $ paid, I doubt I'd buy a Humminbird again. THe base maps on a $500 Lowrance are better. Sigh! I was sucked in by the side-imaging, which is pretty dissapointing in reality too. And you get no bottom information at plane either!
