I've noticed that in the past years lake tawokoni has been a top hybrid producer. I know that this is because of the efforts of the LTSA in conjunction with the tpwd stocking program.
My question is how would some average tff'er like me get something like that started on lake Bridgeport? I would like to get in contact with some of the "higher ups" of the LTSA to find out how they got the ball rolling on such a great program. The biggest question I have is where does the money come from? I think Bridgeport is a great candidate for such a program and I would enjoy putting my efforts towards something I love.
I know its a big bite to chew.....but its worth a try!!!!
Thanks in advance for any help.

I believe Joe Read was instrumental in getting it started at Tawakoni.
The first thing you need to do is check with TPWD and find out if you will be allowed to put additional hybrids in your lake, they have requirements as to forage base and suitability.

LakeSteak,
It is a good idea, but FastGuy is right. We are on the program we are because it does not cause a "crash" (so far) in the Shad population. Twok is special...It has the forage to support Stripers, Hybrids, Huge Sandies AND Blue Cats.

I figured that a biologist would have to get involved...... well how do we increase the forage base?? Its a great "idea" I know but I'm guessing that's about as far as it can go.
