I've passed by that lake a few times but haven't gotten around to fishing it (yet). I've been hitting the library lake pretty often the last few weeks. Lots of bass in there - mostly small but a few larger ones if you get lucky. If you ever see a guy bass fishing with a 4.5' ultralight, say hi.

This is the lake that was drained a couple of years ago. Good to see at least 1 was left in there.

I'm sure they stocked Woodlake after draining and dredging it a few years ago. I'm not sure how fast bass grow, but that's the biggest one I've caught there since they filled it back up, but I've caught a lot of little ones, so I would be surprised if those all showed up naturally... but I'm not sure how that works.
I'd love to bring a weed-eater and make a few bank spots more accessible. I wonder if the city, Al Gore, EPA, etc. would swarm on me for doing that. Some of the best looking spots are really hard to fish when the vegetation along the bank is high.
SDhookem and Always the Noob, I'll definitely have to try the the pond at the Library. Aren't there two ponds? Which one is better, if any?

The north one behind the library. I've only seen one bass pulled out of the smaller south pond. It's mostly just catfish and carp from what I hear.

I've been catchin em pretty good in the big pond(behind the senior center). Just a tip, you must fish weedless in this pond! If you don't you will spend more time pullin grass off your lure than you ever have. I know it's hot as hades out but since I offered to work for a co-worker tomorrow I'll be out there tonight. If you see a guy wearing a rangers t-shirt and visor it's me so feel free to say What's Up!
Gone fishin', be back at dark-thirty!

There's a creek that runs through Woodlake, and I know at least one guy who used to fish the creek before the pond was even dammed up, so I'm sure that helps restock it too. Anyone see any big carp out there since the dredging?
