FWM0103 I have 3 extra large 5gal Deluxe Piggy buckets I fabricated 3 years ago for the Tres Tuna trip we used them last year on Quatro as well. They have level floatation in the top and aircraft aluminum lids with stainless latches. Mike Bristow is bringing a cooler with a built in aireator pump to transport them live to the boat. We should be able to put them in the bait tanks on the Big E that night?? Bazz

Last time we just put them in a fish basket hanging off the dock. Next morning, will pulled that basket and dumped them in the bait tank on the boat. We were worried someone would take the basket, but it was still there. It would be nice if we could put them in the bait tank on the boat the evening before.

On my last trip, a guy was throwing a net while they were cleaning fish and throwing the scraps in. He caught them alot faster than we were. If you can throw a cast net, that is the way to go.

The guy I saw never got hung up. I think he started pulling in before he reached bottom. Maybe he was just lucky.

That's what he had to do, if it settles to the bottom and want to retrieve it - better know how to swim. Ex-inlaws used to have a baitcamp there, know exactly how much there is to hang a net on.

When we stop offshore bring a bunch of sabikis. Nothing works better and you have the opp to bring up 3-5 at a time. That makes getting bait faster and allows us to get to the fishing sooner. If we go to Red Hawk or Deepwater Horizon, its a 10 hour run. We need to make bait fast. On last trip Snagged somehow lost the only Flying Fish Net. Mine. He was man enough to tell me so and sent me a check to replace it. I went to FTU and got another one last week and spent 5 hours Sunday morning re-rigging it. The cloth mesh is **** and you have to put Mono netting on in its place.(Cut up a cast net). The net will be on the trip but beware. If you intend to use it, have $100 in your pocket in the event you damage it or loose it. $76 net, $17 cast net, $7 My Time. Damage is normally bent handle poll from improper use. Rules for use: The 1st Flyer caught goes to Starshine if he makes the trip. 2nd goes to Drshark cause my time is worth more than $1.40 per hour. Then it is wide open. Drshark
