But when I bought that chip originally, it was supposed to be complete Just like the one i bought before that. It was not. There were spots all over the lake that had no info, like the canyons, pophers, the whole northwest end of the lake, and several other places. Now you are pushing us to buy a new chip and you still do not have the complete data. Are you going to guarantee that the data will be finished in a year? If not, how much are we going to have to pay to FINALLY get the whole thing?
I liked the trade in deal much better than the promise you will have all the data this time because i have heard that from you before.
Rayburn is 9ft low right now and has been more than 7ft low for a year, so if you have ALL the data now, when did you get it? I bet it is still not complete but in a couple of years you will be glad to sell me the rest of your missing data, and it will probably be about 250 then.
Why don't you just go back to your loyal customers that have bought 2 chips from you every time you update and give them a trade in on those chips for two new ones?
With all the updates and Issues you are having getting the new cards updated, it might just be best if everyone holds up buying them untill you get them finished, but then again, I suspect that you will still be working on it in a year.

We won't be finished in 10 years. As you stated, lakes are always changing, so good maps should too.
Rayburn Junkie, I'm sorry you are unhappy with the product and the programs we offer. I'm not going to try to convince you that you are wrong and we are right, because things are rarely that simple. I understand what you are saying, but the reality is, even "incomplete", Navionics produces (in my opinion) the best map of Rayburn.
I saw your thread about trying a competitors product-maybe its time to give that a shot...

I am waiting to hear feedback on that. I just wish you would take care of your existing customers the way you did in the past. I guess as a company gets bigger, The bottom line is the dollar. I know you have a lot of money invested updating, but I have alot of money invested in you as well. I have bought 6 chips from you guys in the last 10 years. And in the past, You valued costomer loyalty and gave us a trade in. I did not even gripe when the last chip I got actually lost data compared to the previous one I had on some lakes. I talked to you guys at the skeeter owners tournamnet. I had my boat parked 20 yards from your stand and was fixing to go down and pull out both chips and upgrade them on the spot untill you informed me that I could not trade in the two platinum chips I already had. My partner would have traded both of his in as well.\ So I guess you could say that you lost four sales right there from loyal customers because you were not loyal to them. Lake levels always change, but the contour does not. The only thing that can change there is that you actually go out and finish the stuff you started, but never finished. If you did rayburn in the past year it is still not complete and if the lake does not come up before one year passes, Then I guess Navionics will expect me to fork over the full price again? Maybe you should go back to the powers that be and stress to them some of the things that your existing Loyal customers are complaining about and see if they change their mind. If I buy your competitors Maps And they are complete, 2@110=220, Yours still not complete 2@195=390.The 170 dollar difference will make me go the other route. For a seventy dollar difference, I would stay. We won't be finished in 10 years. As you stated, lakes are always changing, so good maps should too.

Thanks, Jeff! I think the bottom line is pretty simple for all the folks on here, if you want the latest up to date chip buy a new one and enjoy the upcoming updates, or keep your old chips (I have 2 '08 chips) and still have a good chip, but you'll be missing out on some more accurate fishing locations. I myself will probably buy the new chip in a month or so, because I think any edge you can have is the way to go. My only regret is that every body can buy these maps. lol

In the end Navionics came through for me so I will thank them for that. They really do have very good maps for the chips I use which are North and East.
