Took my step-kid fishin last night, put in at Sanger Marina around 7ish and headed towards the dam to try to get on some sandies, we fished for about 30 mins and got nothing, but saw a LMB floating and kicking at the surface so I netted her and she was 24 1/2 inches long im guessing she was around 9 pounds or so, well it looked like she got hit with a prop cause her eye was all jacked up so I put some please release me on her and she kicked and jumped and swam down to deeper water! About a min or 2 she was already back up to surface struggling tried some more and she kinda swam a little bit but didnt look like she was gonna make it, well it got dark so we decided to go home and before we got too far a boat flashed us down, ended up towing them back to the marina and the guys on that boat had some HUGE catfish and they gave us a few!!! All in all it was a good day! We tried to save a fish and helped some people on the water and still got some fillets for Fathers Day!
