I live in Stephenville Tx for those of you that don't know where that is it's about 60 miles south of fort worth. Some local towns close by are granbury proctor Lake Leon is close mineral wells isn't to far. I'm looking to find a good lake that has both quality and quanity and what to use and where not exact spots just areas and what to look for as well as certain spots that I need to watch out for that are dangerous as far as depth changes stumps ect.

Squaw Creek is a hop skip and a jump from Stephenville and pretty hard to beat for channel catfish.
Mineral Wells is a good channel catfish lake also.

I've been catching some fair cats at Lake Pat Cleburne in Cleburne, Texas. And even a few at Lake Alvarado near Alvarado, Texas.

Lake brownwood used to be pretty good haven't fished it in years though proctor is also a good lake to fish and don't discount lake Leon it's a decent fishery itself
