There is a plastic epoxy that works. I bought some at Lowes a couple years ago. It will take a lot of it though.
Retirement best job ever.

Find a shop that does aluminum TIG welding. A split seam is moderately easy to weld up. I'd personally avoid trying a plastic sealer, you do plan to take family on this pontoon craft, correct? That's kinda like putting severely worn maypop tires on your car.

Call Pelican, they sell a plastic welding kit for it for a good deal.

Some plastic boats are HDPE (High Density Polyethylene...some are ABS). I had a Buster Boat that was ABS.
For this discussion the main difference is ABS can be solvent bonded and HDPE cannot and must be welded.
I had to make repairs on my Buster Boat and used pieces of the same type plastic and used a glue made from the dust of the ABS and methethylene choloride. It helped that I worked for a plastics company. Summary...the patch I made was probably the strongest part of the boat...LOL...

Repair will hold up much better if you apply an adhesion promoter prior to the epoxy. Most repairs fail due to improper prep work!
