I am planning on fishing this lake soon and I just wanted to know do you prefer Live or artificial bait out there???

I fish artificial exclusively. I see others have great success on live bait some days, some days they watch us have great success. I suppose it all depends on what the fish want. But right now, artificial will do just fine when you find the fish.

If you've never fished it, get a good lake map. Lots of timber in deep water there and points that come way out into the lake shallow. Best of luck to you.

Right now is livebait time. I use both this time of year but when you happen across a school of big fish livebait will put more in the boat. 7-10" gizzards will target the bigger fish in the schools. If you can keep bait in the water when they come through they'll stick around until they've exhausted your spread. On the flip side, if they come up chunk 5" sassys. In between bait blitzes chunk sassys too.

Big fish are on they move right now. To maximize numbers ya got to take advantage when ya can.
