Go to the Lowrance website and click on FAQ. Type in importing waypoints to an hds and it will take you to a step by step proceedure.

This is just updating to 4.0. I didn't see anything on how put waypoints already on a SD card onto the HDS unit.

Go to the waypoints page, select file from the menu, select which card and file you want to upload to the 8, and its done.

Thanks. I will give this a try. That is what I was looking for. Ok, this worked for the SD card I had from copies of my old graph.
Now, it won't let me import files I have created through Navionics Hotmaps Explorer. I have gone in a added Waypoints from all the lakes we fish and put them on an SD card. It will let me copy them to a file, but they don't show up. The Import is what I believe needs to do, but won't go. Any suggestions from anyone or the Lowrance or Navionics guys?
