i have been using these for awhile now and they work great...the problem i am having is when im not using them i stick the hook in a piece of styrofoam and let the clips dangle. these things get so twisted it makes for a long day...just wondering if anyone has a solution besides getting rid of the clips.

I use a styrofoam minnow bucket. Hook the hooks in the lip of the bucket and let the lines dangle in the bucket.

i use that too but they still seem to get tangled pretty bad between running lines and pulling old lines, guess i just need to take better care while running lines.

i keep a removal tacklebox shelf that i lay the hooks out in. I loop the hook through the bottom hole where the swivel is usually placed and then lay them out and pull them out by the clip when needed. I role the line up on a piece of 2x4 or some other board. I never have liked leaving hooks on a line...too much to go wrong from something or someone getting hung up on the hooks to the hooks getting rusted and in need of replacement

I have a plano tackle box, I wrap the hook and staging around 3 fingers then place in one of the little square slots in the box. You can stack a bunch of them on top of one another and it works just fine.

Get a piece of Styrofoam. Get a rubber band that will go all the way around it sideways. Put hook into the edge of it. Let the line hang and slip under the rubber band. It keeps the clips and lines from getting tangled up.

Those are some great suggestions... I've been using a 5 gallon bucket - hanging the hook on the rim and just wrapping a little of the line around the clips so they are on the bottom directly under where the hook. always looking for a more efficient method though.

Use a piece of aluminum wire and thread it through the clip and when I need on, just slide it off. One end I made a loop out of the wire and the other I left straight to slip the clips on. Works good for me, but I do not leave hooks on my stagings.
