I am looking for a guide (probably someone around Quitman/Fork) that would be willing to meet me at the fishing club I belong to in East Texas to help me read the lake, assess my skills, make some suggestions on how to attack the lake, etc. Lake is 300 acres or so, private, and under a wildlife management program. Would prefer a full time guide or pro if possible (willing to pay a day rate for the service). Perhaps Friday before July 4? Any ideas would be appreciated!

Give James Caldemeyer a call at 903.736.9888. He's a busy full time guide on Fork and tournament fisherman. Don't know if he's got everything booked before then but worth a shot.

Which lake/club? Feel free to PM me. I know a former touring pro that has done this for people in the past.

What private lake are you talking about that is being managed. I know of one that is that size in ET. I'm sure there is more but if it's the one I'm thinking about, I may be able to help you out or give you a name of someone to call. PM me if you need to.

You could try Mark Pack from Lake Fork Tackle, he is pretty well booked and that dated is probably already taken but you could try.
He can break down water as good as anyone I have ever seen and he is doing a similar project with lake management at his home lake where he lives.
Good luck, sounds like fun!

I'd highly suggest James Henderson for that.. www.jameshendersonguideservice.com214.864.2469 He'll explain what's going on around you, seasonal patterns, adjustments for upcoming seasons, techniques and everything in between.. and don't forget about the mental game.
