Terry Park was hitting pretty good in the month of May early mornings. Not sure how it is now with the temp heating up.

I went to Zion last night. Lots of people out there, and not a lot of catching. I used frozen shad, shrimp, and CJ's Monster Dip bait. I caught one tiny channel on the dip bait, and I fishing from 830-1230.

Question for the experts...

While I was using the Dip bait, I was getting TONS of bites. But nothing would really grab it. I was using a carolina rig with a #6 treble hook. I also tries adding a small bobber 3 inches above the hook thinking that maybe the fish were having a had time picking the bait up, but I never got a bite on hat rig.

My only explanation is that they were all tiny cats biting, any other thoughts?

Could be perch or bluegill, its when those small bites stop is when something bigger is coming.

The boat ramp on 66 going into Rockwall is usually pretty good and not crowded.

How far out were you casting using the dip bait, I was out there last Wednesday night and a couple was catching some small cats (14" tops) back to back casting about 6' from the bank.
