TFF,

Guys I have seen this forum come together before and do some awesome things. We need to find a way to do it again for an incredible guy that is going to need our help. David has been through an incredible amount of things so far and it has increased just recently. The below paragraph is from the Pray for David group on Facebook.

"To add insult to injury David is back at the hospital. He has been coughing so much that he has developed a hernia. This is on top of being told he needs a double lung transplant and Texas State denying his financial aid and lowering his GPA from 3.7 down to 2.7 for failing to attend class whilst on life support in the hospital..All of this has happened within the past WEEK. HE NEEDS YOUR HELP..HIS PARENTS NEED YOUR HELP. David ...wants to finish school, he wants to continue the Fishing club that he fought so hard for to start and he has continually mounting astronomical medical bills that are financially devastating his parents. The lung transplant will be in the six figures AFTER insurance. Please, please donate whatever you can, suggested donation is $10.00 but if you can spare more then that would be out of this world."

The URL for the chip in site is http://dcosner.chipin.com/dcozs-school-and-medical-bills Guys please chip in whatever you can for a fellow fisherman that could use a break for once.

Also, I am wanting to get a tournament together to help raise money for David's eventual transplant and medical bills leading up to it. I know how to fish a tournament but dont know a ton about running one. I need all the help I can get with this. Lets really show this family what TFF can do. Anyone who would like to help with the tournament please call me at 318-393-3054. I would like to have it on Lake Fork this fall but other than that I dont have any other details. I am open to other locations but I wanted to see how many people would be interested in doing something like this.

Thanks TFF

I have seen the DFW Metro plex get giant turnouts for benefit tournaments, let me know what time of year this goes down and I will be there.

Zach and others, I know there are a couple of other groups looking to get a benefit tournament put together for David and his family. I'd like to try and coordinate everyone into a cohesive group so we can get one awesome tournament to help them out. Feel free to contact me through Get Five or via PM here on the TFF.

Tight lines,
Andrew

Thoughts:

None of this is set in stone, just want to keep this moving so it doesn't become an idea that doesn't turn into a reality.

^^^ If this guy is willing to help, you take him up on his offer. He is the best tournament director in the business as far as I'm concerned! I would highly encourage the use of his TD skills!

Only talked to David a handful of times. He may not even know who I am but I would help if possible.

Hey Zach J..... David told me a while back that he met you. So, yes, he does remember you. Just like no one forgets who David is once they meet him.

I'm in to help with some prizes and such also. Andrew and Zach C, let me know what I can do to help also.

Guys this is exactly what I was hoping for. I am thinking Lake Fork in the Fall would be a good time frame but I am open to ideas. That gives us plenty of time to get everything together.

Scott ABA we definitely need a TD and a trailer or scales or something to do the weighin. If Brandon says your good then you are good with me.

Acuna- I love the banner and the idea.

Hag- thanks for stepping up. Prize packs of tornados or some sort of prize for biggest bass caught on a Hag's product would be great.

Thanks, Tommy, not surprised one bit you stepped up on this one! Get Five is in for a sponsorship too (obviously!).

Zach, give me a call when you get a chance. I am going to try and talk to David tonight to get his input on this too.

Tight lines,
Andrew

Andrew,

July 30 is a little soon if you really want to plan a big tournament.

Zach,
I think this is an awesome idea and great initiative. Met David on the college trail as well and would love to fish this. Let me know what I can do, I would be happy to help promote it in my neck of the woods as well.
