We recently bought a new-to-me boat and put it on Lake Lewisville this year. Not having fished this lake... ever... I knew it would take a while to learn the good places for action. I've been out about 4-5 times to far and have yet to get skunked, but its still a learning process. I've caught a LOT of fish, so when I bring friends and family out, I get just as much pleasure putting them on fish as I do catching anything myself. That brings us to today... I got home from a Trivia competition (i know, i know...) about 5:30 and Anna asked what I wanted to do and I decided on seeing a movie. Right before I bought the tickets, I walked in and said "do you guys want to go fishing instead?" After a short (Very short) time, they said yes and I was loading up the gear. We got to the boat this evening and we were just ahead of a little storm that was rolling through but we loaded up the gear (and the dog) and headed for open water. The wind was blowing hard from the east so I decided to creep around a point that would block the wind some and allow me to use the trolling motor a bit better. I got them ready to slab and off we went. I was keeping us headed for a point and watching the graph when I saw a pretty good glob of fish on the bottom. I slowed down the trolling motor and told them to drop their slabs and within 10 seconds we are all on fish. I bring my white bass to the top and toss him back when I realize the girls are both still fighting fish! Just about the time I turn around I see Angelas rod bent INTO the water and Anna has her hybrid already in the boat. I get Angela into a better position and pull the hook on Anna's fish and drop it into the boat (I needed to measure it). About that same time I see Angela's fish make it to the top and think "oh [censored], where did I put the net!" I scrambled past my dog, who is now barking at the fish on the deck, and tear open the storage where my net is and run to the back of the boat just in time to net her fish before it got off. Once I get the Hybrid in the net, we relax for a bit and get them both measured. The first hybrid was just under 18 inches so it returned to the lake. The second was 22 inches and every bit of 4lbs, so into the livewell it went! That was literally the first 5 minutes of fishing. With the wind blowing like it was, we had a couple minutes before we got back to the spot but soon after I catch another 12" sand bass and toss it back to the tone of Anna's drag zipping. Big fish on! This time I already had the net ready and with the dog excitedly watching things unfold, I net the biggest fish caught off of the boat so far. A nice 23.25" hybrid that weighed ~5lbs. Headed back the spot one more time and Anna hooked into ANOTHER hybrid that was 21" long and THICK. At that point I also hooked a hybrid that snapped my line while I was messing with the trolling motor. At that point the wind REALLY started howling and I lost the school so we decided to call it a day. At some point I remember Anna saying I needed to catch one but honestly I didnt have to catch a single fish to make this trip fun. We were back to the dock within an hour and headed home to watch the Mavs game. Just wish they did as good as we did. Can't ask for a better way to end a weekend. Fish fry tomorrow! (Sorry if I have some typos above, I am tried and doing feel like reading it again!) Kevin

Wipers are a blast to catch. Looks like a great day fishing.

Nice catch, those can be some very good flats where you were at. Your girls looked like they were having fun. Keep'em fishing.

I actually saw this post w/Brian Dungan while I was waiting for the Mavs game to start up. He said hello too. Yeah we need to meet up and fish . You mostly fish Hubbard? I think I still have a lot of waypoints saved when I was fishing there a lot. Kevin
