Hi guy and gals! I got out on Dunlap yesterday w/ a guide (Barry Dodd @teachemtofish.net) to specifically get some better form and technique As he focuses on bass that was the target for the day, so I won't go into it much - but just wanted to share with my fishing friends here that by the end of the day I'd landed a 5.25lb LMB 20.75" (yes I released it along with some other big ones!). Was pretty awesome.

That lake is gorgeous, and now that I've been out there to places beyond the ramp - I'm looking forward to some sunfish hunting out there. smile

A guide can be a GREAT way to learn both techniques and watercraft.

I will definitely say he was well worth it. 100% total focus on what I wanted to improve. Great conversation and wonderful instruction. Couldn't have had a better time.

@jagg yes indeed. I'm really glad I did it, will do it again when I can. A bit heavy on the pocketbook. lol
