Hey TFF,
I am needing to find a good charter for two families 4 in each both with 11 year old girls for a total of 8 people. We could split up into two boats if necessary. We have never been out on a charter and were needing a recomendation on which ones. Also what type of charter would you all recomend.

USCG license allows each boat capt. to have up to but more than 6 customers. So if you plan to go with private charters you'll need two boats. Other option is to jump a "head boat" which is the big party boats. You'll catch more fish on the private charter but you'll pay more.

Private charters run (offshore) generally run $1000-$1500 per day. Party boats usually run $100 per person for an 8 hour trip.

Depends how serious you are. Private Charters are always infintely better than head boats but about at least 2X as expensive.

Here's a real good private Charter Captain.

Also running a Snapper season special during your required dates.

I grew up in Freeport and we have had a family house in Surfside my entire life. I would recommend these guys.
