I've never really fished wacky style, is the wacky style rig really that effective? and how do you fish it? I'm planning on adding this technique to my arsenal if it works well enough

senkos and trick worms are great wacky rig baits. You can add a nail weight to one end to give it a little different action. Great for fishing around any cover when fish are suspended or finicky. Definitely worth trying out, good luck!

Caught my PB, 9 pounds and 9 ounces LMB on the wacky rig... Get the little rubber rings for the middle of the bait and save a lot of baits.

You might want to check out the O-Wacky Tool. Very effective.

I have wacky rigged Grande Bass Rattlesnakes with pretty good results as well.

Use braided line with a fluorocarbon leader on a spinning reel. This will allow you to skip the bait under cover without backlashes. If the water is dingy you do not need the leader. Watch your line carefully.

I've just started fishing whacky rigged worms this past year, and have had awesome success. Just this past past weekend took a 9.83#, and 5.67# from Ray Roberts using a whacky rigged trick worm. Oh, and yes I said Ray Roberts.

Caught my biggest fish this year on a wacky worm. My wife kicks my rear with them she will throw it out , look at her nails, check her tan, get a drink, and move it a little and repeat the process LOL

does it work in shallow water (about 3ft)? or is it better in deeper water to give it more time to fall?

you throw these weightless and let em float or sit on the bottom and jiggle em?

those are some good questions. I'm not sure how the action is suppose to be... pull it up and sink like a texas rigged worm? or bounce the rod like a jig?
