Took my 3y/o son out to the park yesterday for some perch jerkin. First cast,I handed the rod to "Cito", and he started cranking it in. I see the bobber going sideways and pretty soon he had his first fish of the day. Another dad comes up with his 3y/o son and they begin to watch as "Cito" catches his second fish. They watch for awhile,and I tell his little boy that I'd let him catch the next one. They had to go check in with mom and "Cito" caught another. They returned and I was determined to get that young man a fish. I made a cast and one of the many turtles in the pond made a B-line for my bobber. Just as he got to it,it went under and the fight was on. I played the fish long enough to be sure that it was a fish and not a turtle,then gave the rod to the little boy. He reeled in what was probably his first fish ever,about a pound and a half channel cat. You should have heard these two dads "going Ike". I was as proud for his son as I was for mine. The boys took turns looking at and touching it for a minute,before I let it go.His dad even shook my slime covered hand before he left. It don't get no better'n that.

Thats what im talking about, Great Job! Maybe you sparked his Dad into taking up fishing.
