I have a Lowrance 520 external GPS. Fished Sat. and Sun. and both days the GPS will not connect. Any ideas?

you can search the archives here on TFF. Check all of the connections on the power cable and the N2K network. If you know someone with a similar setup you can connect your GPS module to there unit to see if it works. If you do that they need to have the same update you have. You could also try the soft and hard resets
