I got this boat 2 years ago for free from a gentlemen on here. It had an older 115hp on it when I picked it up. We got it running and I enjoyed it for a few months, then blew the motor. I was kinda torn on what to do, since I really had no money in her but she needed some other work too, so I decided to put a post on here looking for engine repair. Marcus on here took the boat and it ended up with this mariner 150 on it now. Then a few weeks ago I decided that I would make her more solid and a little more fishing friendly. (and hopefully keep me from buying a boat on impulse)Since I have been really thinking about selling it, and upgrading to newer bigger boat.

cont.
I took it to my friend's house and we spent two evenings redoing all the wiring. First night, ripped out all the wiring and pulled all of our new runs.
Second night, wired in all the switchs and lights, etc.
Then she came home and that's where the real fun began. I decided since the boat was ugly anyways, I didn't care about matching up carpet with the color of the boat and didn't want to wait and order boat carpet from BPS. So I went to home depot and bought my treated wood, and carpet.
I extended the front deck and moved pedistal seat back more. Added the speakers in the deck ext. and radio. Added some led lights thru out and bought me a gps graph and moved the other one up to the front. This was a long project but I'm glad I did it but would never wanna do it again. I might eventually try to get the boat painted but do not know anything about what to use and the labor involved. If any of yall know or have done it, please feel free to share your knowlegde.

Would love to see some pictures. I am thinking about getting a project boat myself.

Wow! Not bad for a free boat! How much have you put into it already?

after buying all the plywood, material, new graph, carudo, smoke, 2 johnny morris sig. series reels, duckett, smoke, and two kistler rods, I ran out of my "funny money" to buy matching seats. LOL

Haven't added up all the receipts yet and don't know if I want to, but my guess would be around $1800 and that includes the motor. Not counting maint. stuff like batteries and new tires.
