I can say from a public safety standpoint that courtesy gets abused and then people who truly need help are forced to wait or not get that help cause we are tied up with system abusers or people that consider a sunburn a medical emergency.

I work for Harris County so I know all to well about Public Safety but when someone is broke down do we just say we are not comeing no we send a Tow truck not just leave you sitting there we will report it and anybody close will show up not just we are not going to show unless you are hurt... I have has my fill of BS calls myself but if someone needs help we do our best to get it. Like I said I know they can't help everyone but if they are close and can help why not show that's all I am saying. And like I also said the got a tow so all is good.

I almost called the Dallas fire and rescue when I stuck a rattle trap hook in my forearm Friday...

Just kidding, I did stick a hook in my forearm though.

Whats your point or the result you want from posting a "whinny post" about the GW? I have been in public saftey for over 20 years in a large and very busy dept and you are echoing what we hear day in and day out. Basically you call and DEMAND the service you think you "deserve". Sometimes you just have to deal with your personal issues by flaging down help or resolving your issues thru your own reasoning and problem solving abilities. READ the Bill Of Rights again, nowhere does it say you have the "right to a free tow".

First off I did not call and there was no DEMAND made. No one was looking for a free tow they found one if you would care to read before you post so I guess problem solved.

I guess that is the world we live in today. Would be nice if someone truly needs help one could ask for it without getting blasted. I don't work in your field so I'm not aware of the abuse. If I'm truly out of options I would ask for help from one of the public safety groups.

Wardens are there for a reason. Just like the Police. I have never had a problem with game wardens and yes I have been checked several times with no problems. If you are not a jerk to them, they will do there job and move on.

i would like to see the GW enforcing the game laws. there are other people i call when i need a tow.

i don't call the GW when my truck breaks down and needs towed...i don't expect him to tow a boat.

the most i would look for is if he knows the number of someone to tow me

Game is the key word. Warden is the regulation/enforcement part.

Was there a game issue involved?

Do you have tow in boat insurance?

Think of it as a union worker. He has a specific job to do.

Just because I am a stay home dad does not mean I need to watch your kids.

NOTHING wrong with asking for help from the public safety sector. As was posted there might be times when they will not be able to offer assistance though.
