I ventured to the dark side today, but the results were wonderful. 8+ hybrid and another 6+ hybrid + loads of big sandies on Twak. I'll be back. What a great lake!!!

absolutely...yes, that 's it...it was all Jimmy's fault!!!!!!!!! however, the cheeseburgers are the Waterfront Grill were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe a guide made you do it ... Right Steve...that's IT...it's all Jimmy's fault.  Anyone got a fly that looks like a big chartreuse slab? I shoulda broken out the fly gear when the fish were rolling on top, early. Later, I was trying to get down 25-30 feet, where they were just casting and jigging. No luck with the sinking line and 8wt, regardless of what I threw at them (and I tried a lot of different flies).

Way to go David! Glad you got a bunch. :-)
I managed a 3.4 lb channel cat on my 6wt at Lavon on Wednesday but the lake fly rod record is 7.6 lbs.
Headed for Belize this morning. Bonefishing on Thursday. Will send pics along if I manage to catch a few.
The new Cabelas in Allen is only a 7 minute drive from the house!
Not good. :-)
Paul from the fly shop set me up with a selection of bonefish flies. Picked up some flats boots for Belize and for use at Ray Roberts for carp. Back to largemouth fishing sometime....

Just kidding, David. Any kind of fishing is better than no fishing and whatever you have to do to get a hybrid on the line is fair game. Man, I do want another hybrid on my fly stick, though.
