I'm new to the area and was out today looking for fishing spots. I noticed a lot of folks fishing under the bridge(s) on 380 around Princeton.

Any idea what they catch there and tactics used? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's good for cats using stink bait or shad under a bobber. fish it shallow...3-4 feet as close to the bank as it allows without hanging up.

Be careful. For some reason I find the rocks at that bridge to be especially wobbly and treacherous to walk.

Channel cats are spawning they get in the rocks to lay their eggs. From day break till mid day you can wear them out with shad under a slip cork,or comel bobber w/ a 2 -3 foot leader. My friend and I went yesterday from my boat (I know I am in the bank fishing section ,just trying to help )I must have caught 3 limits bad thing is most of the ones we caught were small. About 1 keeper per every 10 caught. Throw as Close to the rocks as you can get it ( early ). Later in the day when the sun is over head longer leader or slip cork, throw 3 to 4 ft off the rocks.I belive the key for fishing the bank is to get there early.
